Atlas Oil Company in Taylor is working with the city through their charitable arm, Atlas Cares, to transform an empty lot into a neighborhood park (Atlas Park).  They hope to create a destination for the surrounding neighborhoods that can be enjoyed all year.

Atlas Cares is an employee-sponsored and directed charitable program at Atlas Oil Company.  They are involved throughout the Detroit community, including an annual holiday party for local U.S. Marine units and their families.

Atlas Oil Company was founded in 1986 by Sam Simon and has been growing ever since.
